'Caring for Carers' is what we do!

Carer 1

This charity in South Ayrshire was started 25 years ago by the Soroptimists Club in Ayr. From a very small beginning we have gradually expanded and thanks to dedicated staff and volunteers we are now a major provider of support to Carers in South Ayrshire.

Carer 2

Although affiliated to Crossroads Caring Scotland we are an independently registered Scottish Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee managed by a local voluntary Management Committee. Letters of appreciation are rewarding and a constant reminder that the efforts of all involved in providing the service are very worthwhile.

Future fund raising events.

The next fund raising event will be the Plant sale and Coffee morning. This will be held on 10th May, 9.00am - 1.00pm in Prestwick South Church Hall. There is nothing planned during the next few months, until the sponsored walk in September - if anyone would be able and willing to hold a coffee morning or other event in support of Crossroads during this time, it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Crossroads office 01292 671331. Crossroads members would be pleased to attend any groups to talk about our work in Caring for Carers.

Fund raising events held.

In February a very successful Bridge afternoon was held in St Ninian's Church Hall , Troon; this raised 1,086. Many thanks to those involved in organising the event, and in serving the delicious teas. on the day. Crossroads also received a very generous donation to our funds. The money received from events and donations allows us to provide more care hours to those in need.
